puppetmagicaBro's been a magi for a long time. When his mother died, Dave was still an infant, and one of the last things she did was have him promise her that he would protect his little brother. He was still a teenager, but he took that extremely seriously.
When Kyubey turned up, he suspected something was up, but he really didn't care. Whatever the consequences, they were worth it. The exact words of Bro's wish are "as long as I have breath in my body, I want to be able to protect Dave."
Good luck getting him to admit that to anyone, though. If you really push him to tell you, he'll probably claim it had something to do with his puppet porn empire.
Bro's Soul Gem is orange. Its emblem is a crown--as his mother put it, he's the head of the family now... (Though one could argue he still sees her as its queen, so he'd still be the prince, tee hee.) As is standard, he wears the ring on his left middle finger.
When fully transformed, Bro's uniform is something like this, but with more orange to it. His arms are bare between the megucaleather armor and gauntlets as well. His uniform is a compromise between armor (remember, his wish was about defense) and speed. He wields his sword with both hands. He's only mediocre at fighting unless he believes that he's protecting Dave in some way and often comes out of battles with the shit beat out of him. If he's not doing something For Dave then probably every other meguca in the RP could beat him in a fight.
His Soul Gem rests on his throat, right where your thumbs would land if you were planning to choke him to death.
Bro maintains several "witch farms" in Derse, allowing familiars to grow into witches to be killed for their soul gems on a fairly predictable basis. The murder rate in his territory is higher than average. He doesn't feel guilty about it anymore but doesn't talk about it because he knows many other magi wouldn't react well to this bit of knowledge. His first priority is keeping Dave safe. His second priority is keeping himself alive so he can keep Dave safe. Morality comes third.
